The coach of Real Betis, the Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, believes that his team is “on the right track” despite the defeat (2-3) suffered this Saturday against the Real Madrid, by ensuring that they were “superior in the first part”, while “the second was more equaled, but with one less, it is not evaluable”.
Pellegrini regretted the expulsion of his right-hand side Emerson Royal and the penalty that the game decided “with VAR decisions”, an extreme on which he considered that “everything together is too much”.
The Verdiblanco coach said that, although he had not yet “seen the plays, it seems that Borja Mayoral is offside before the penalty” and stressed that “they are actions that decide.”
The Chilean considered that “it is difficult” to face “some decisions, today justice has fallen to Madrid”, but preferred to stay “with what was done by Real Betis until he has competed eleven against eleven”.
“Even Benzema is offside on the 2-2 play,” said Pellegrini, who complained that although he “likes VAR, he always plays against it.”
Finally, he specified that his compatriot, the goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, “he had a knee problem in the last training session” that prevented him from playing against Real Madrid, but he praised his substitute goalkeeper, Joel robles, which “had no responsibility for the defeat.”

The other Betic complaints
The green-and-white central Aissa mandi he insisted that it is “better not to talk about the issue of the referees and be focused on Betis, which has done many things well”, such as having “had a lot of personality after conceding the first goal”, because he considers that it has been “very top until the end of the first part. ” Channels spoke on Twitter with a emoji closing the mouth with a zipper.
Betis goalkeeper Joel Robles considered this Saturday that referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea “has not been successful” in the defeat of his team and regretted that, “in case of doubt, decisions are always” made “in favor of the big one. “The same thing always happens to us, I’m not going to change my way of thinking,” the Verdiblanco goalkeeper told Movistar.
